The 13th, 15th, 16th and 18th century fortified Bonagui Castle, classified as a National Historic Monument, is located 30 minutes from La Carretal. From the top of the rocky outcrop, it overlooks the valley and the medieval village. It is unique in Europe, of gigantic dimensions and is in remarkably good condition.
